Succose pere gialle si adagiano su un piano, e vicino ad esse vi è posto un cangiante grappolo d’uva.

Le pere sono giunte alla fase di maturazione, il giallo caldo e le screziature ci fanno capire il loro essere succose e zuccherine.

L’aspetto invitante ne evoca il profumo ed il gusto dolce e granuloso al tempo stesso.

Soffermiamoci quindi sull’uva, resa da Scatizzi con tanti piccoli tocchi dati con la punta della spatola.

Scatizzi riesce a rendere la naturale patina bianca che avvolge i chicchi dell’uva, particolarmente visibili sulle varietà rosate e nere come in questo caso.

Queste particolari screziature perlacee non sono altro che la pruina sprigionata dall’uva stessa a protezione degli acini affinché essi giungano a maturazione, ed è per altro artefice della fermentazione del vino.

Una natura morta che con la sua semplicità riesce nel suo intento di eleganza, ulteriormente accentuata grazie dalla forma circolare dell’opera.

Juicy yellow pears lie on a plane, and next to them sits an iridescent bunch of grapes.

The pears have reached the ripe stage, their warm yellow and mottling hinting at their juiciness and sweetness.

Their inviting appearance evokes their fragrance and sweet, grainy taste.

Let us then dwell on the grapes, rendered by Scatizzi with many small touches given with the tip of the spatula.

Scatizzi succeeds in rendering the natural white patina that envelops the grapes, which is particularly visible on pink and black varieties as in this case.

These particular pearly streaks are nothing more than the bloom released by the grapes themselves to protect the berries so that they ripen, and it is also responsible for the fermentation of the wine.

A still life that with its simplicity succeeds in its intention of elegance, further accentuated by the circular form of the work.
