In questo acquerello del 1941, quando anche da noi la guerra imperversava, Guido Peyron è riuscito a condensare delicatezza e speranza.

Un vaso sobrio, rappresentazione di una semplicità tipica della tradizione contadina toscana di quegli anni, con unico elemento decorativo due sottili linee azzurre sulla pancia.

Il mazzolino, forse composto da anemoni dei boschi, profuma di rinascita e di quella fiducia nel bene e nella bellezza che incredibilmente non demorde e viene cercata nel quotidiano, nonostante le avversità.

Un dipinto che profuma anche di necessita di fare pittura, perché non possiamo essere indifferenti rispetto alla semplicità del cartone stesso, il cui colore bruno contribuisce a pensare a quello usato per i pacchi.

L’impellenza dell’arte la ritroviamo anche nell’aspetto frettoloso dell’opera, a metà strada tra un bozzetto ed un definitivo.

Un cromatismo di base che sembra perdersi mentre si amalgama col colore di fondo.

Il curcuma così si mischia e si perde in quella carta da pacchi divenendo essa stessa parte integrante del soggetto.

In this watercolour from 1941, when the war was raging here too, Guido Peyron managed to condense delicacy and hope.

A sober vase, representing a simplicity typical of the Tuscan peasant tradition of those years, with the only decorative element being two thin blue lines on the belly.

The bouquet, perhaps composed of woodland anemones, smells of rebirth and of that faith in goodness and beauty that incredibly does not give up and is sought in daily life, despite adversity.

A painting that also smells of the necessity of painting, because we cannot be indifferent to the simplicity of the cardboard itself, whose brown colour contributes to the impression of that used for parcels.

The urgency of art can also be found in the hasty appearance of the work, halfway between a sketch and a definitive.

A basic chromatism that seems to get lost as it mixes with the background colour.

The turmeric thus mixes and gets lost in the wrapping paper, becoming itself an integral part of the subject.
