Un dipinto, che per la sua forma, oltre che per la scelta della cornice da parte dello stesso Scatizzi, si comporta come una finestra od un oblò, una sorta di affaccio su una campagna estremamente luminosa.

Il nero della cornice riesce ad esaltare ulteriormente quella lucentezza sprigionata come un faro su una realtà alle volte fin troppo opaca.

L’elemento brioso è sicuramente la scelta di quel verde tendente all’acido, la cui privazione renderebbe la scena spenta e banale.

Troppo frequentemente siamo costretti a sottolineare come niente nelle opere di Scatizzi sia casuale ma tutto pensato e soppesato affinché l’effetto corale crei quella armonia voluta dal pittore. 

Anche le fenditure date dalla spatola definiscono questi equilibri, riuscendo a creare avvicendamenti costanti e disciplinati.

Il risultato è mostrare la naturale bellezza degli appezzamenti di campi e di pascoli dalle sfumature audaci rinvigorite ulteriormente dal riverbero azzurro e compatto del cielo.

A painting, which due to its shape, as well as Scatizzi‘s own choice of frame, acts like a window or a porthole, a sort of outlook on an extremely luminous countryside.

The blackness of the frame further enhances that brilliance emanating like a beacon over a reality that is at times all too opaque.

The lively element is certainly the choice of that green tending towards acid, the deprivation of which would make the scene dull and banal.

Too often we are forced to emphasise how nothing in Scatizzi’s works is random but everything is thought out and weighed so that the choral effect creates the harmony desired by the painter.

The cracks given by the trowel also define these balances, managing to create constant and disciplined alternations.

The result is to show the natural beauty of the plots of fields and pastures in bold hues further invigorated by the compact blue glow of the sky.
