Ponte Vecchio è stato uno dei soggetti cari a Guido Borgianni.

Lui, come Silvio Loffredo con il Battistero di San Giovanni, trovano in certi luoghi delle vere e proprie fonti di riflessione e studio, sia per le condizioni atmosferiche, di luce o semplicemente per l’angolazione.

In questi casi non possiamo parlare di una vera e proprie serie, come per Monet con la Cattedrale di Rouen, dato che nei fiorentini non troviamo quella stessa continuità temporale di esecuzione, in essi possiamo bensì trovare dei ritorni cadenzati per tutta la loro attività artistica.

In questo caso la luce del tramonto si fa breccia in un cielo reduce da un acquazzone.

Il chiarore riesce così a scaldare delicatamente quelle restanti nuvole per poi specchiarsi in Arno riscoprendo sfumature intense e conturbanti.

Ponte Vecchio was one of Guido Borgianni’s favourite subjects.

He, like Silvio Loffredo with the Baptistery of San Giovanni, found in certain places real sources of reflection and study, whether due to atmospheric conditions, light or simply the angle.

In these cases, we cannot speak of a true series, as for Monet with Rouen Cathedral, since in the Florentines we do not find that same temporal continuity of execution, in them we can rather find rhythmic returns throughout their artistic activity.

In this case, the light of sunset breaks through a sky that has just come through a downpour.

The glow thus manages to gently warm those remaining clouds and then reflect itself in the Arno, rediscovering intense and disturbing nuances.
