In questa deliziosa marina di Mirando Iacomelli osserviamo come la pittura assuma il tipico movimento ondulatorio delle onde estendendosi anche al cielo e agli scogli.

Possiamo presupporre si tratti della spiaggia siciliana vicino Caltanissetta, anche se potrebbe trattarsi di quella anconetana.

Purtroppo non abbiamo specifiche ulteriori sul luogo oltre al titolo stesso del dipinto: Falconara.

L’attenta descrizione del mare ci permette di cogliere le insenature ed i saliscendi del fondale, oltre ai flutti che si infrangono vivaci sugli scogli vicini.

Il cielo non riesce ad infondere quella pacatezza che la luce ispirerebbe perché, come detto, sprigiona un’energia non marcata ma al contempo tangibile, come se il vento abbia creato turbinii sussurrati con nuvole appena velate, il medesimo turbinio che rinvigorisce il moto delle acque.

In this delightful marina by Mirando Iacomelli, we observe how the painting takes on the typical undulating movement of the waves, extending to the sky and the rocks.

We can assume it is the Sicilian beach near Caltanissetta, although it could be the one in Ancona.

Unfortunately, we have no further specifications on the location other than the very title of the painting: Falconara.

The careful description of the sea allows us to grasp the inlets and ups and downs of the seabed, as well as the waves crashing lively on the nearby rocks.

The sky fails to instil the calmness that the light would inspire because, as mentioned, it releases an unmarked but at the same time tangible energy, as if the wind had created whispering whirlwinds with barely veiled clouds, the same whirlwind that invigorates the motion of the waters.
