Generalmente, perché molto dipendeva anche dal soggetto, Scatizzi si approcciava al supporto attraverso una composizione pittorica stratificata, ossia dopo aver eseguito una leggera base sulla superficie procedeva aggiungendo materia fino ad ottenere l’effetto desiderato.

In questo caso invece possiamo osservare come l’urgenza di mettere in atto l’idea fremente dei cipressi lo abbia come assorto dal modus operandi canonico.

Questo lo possiamo vedere bene nella zona che circonda le basse vette delle conifere.

Osserviamo perciò nitidamente il legno sottostante che pare diventare una sorta di evidenziazione delle stesse senza però scomporre il risultato finale.

Due ali vegetative affusolate che paiono farci da introduzione verso quello stretto sentiero facente da anticamera in direzione di quella limpida radura all’orizzonte.

Generally, because so much also depended on the subject, Scatizzi approached the support through a layered pictorial composition, i.e. after making a light base on the surface he proceeded to add material until the desired effect was achieved.

In this case, on the other hand, we can observe how the urgency to implement the quivering idea of the cypresses made him depart from the canonical modus operandi.

We can see this clearly in the area surrounding the low coniferous peaks.

We can therefore clearly see the wood underneath, which seems to become a kind of highlighting of them without, however, breaking up the final result.

Two tapering vegetative wings that seem to introduce us to that narrow path that acts as an antechamber in the direction of that limpid clearing on the horizon.
