Queste due rose spiccano sullo sfondo color carta da zucchero per la loro carnosità e delicatezza.

I petali, plasmati come soffici meringhe, trovano il culmine nel loro cuore, dove il bianco sfuma improvvisamente e diviene carminio con la velocità di un tocco.

Ogni foglia invece è come un pastoso assolo in grado però di trovare definizione ed un magistrale chiaroscuro, il tutto declinato nella tridimensionale interpretazione che da sempre caratterizza le opere di Scatizzi.

Un dipinto simile può dare l’idea che sia stato eseguito di getto, come se la costruzione avvenisse gradualmente, man mano che il gesto spontaneo proseguiva. 

Le opere di Scatizzi, invece, rappresentano il prodotto di un pensiero, che da labile diviene nitido e definito nella sua mente, già prima di prendere lo strumento in mano.

These two roses stand out against the sugar-coloured background by their fleshy, delicate nature.

The petals, moulded like soft meringues, find their climax in their heart, where white suddenly fades and becomes carmine with the speed of a touch.

Each leaf, on the other hand, is like a mellow solo, yet able to find definition and a masterful chiaroscuro, all declined in the three-dimensional interpretation that has always characterised Sergio Scatizzi’s works.

Such a painting may give the idea that it was executed in a spur-of-the-moment manner, as if the construction took place gradually, as the spontaneous gesture continued.

Scatizzi’s works, on the other hand, represent the product of a thought, which from vague becomes sharp and defined in his mind, even before he takes the instrument in hand.
