Nella nostra mostra del 2005, “Sergio Scatizzi. Vecchi legni dipinti”, sono state presentate opere rientranti in un insieme dalle sfaccettature eclettiche, in particolare nella selezione dei supporti.

Tra questi abbiamo trovato scuroli, porte, finestre intere, prolunghe di tavoli, ecc.

Oggi vogliamo presentarvi un inedito, ma che rientra allo stesso modo in questa particolare serie.

Il supporto scelto in questo caso è il tabernacolo di un comodino di inizio 900, ne possiamo saggiare le modanature decorative che ne definiscono il perimetro e delle piccole margherite inserite in cerchi nei punti di intersezione, chiaramente visibili anche sotto le pellicola pittorica.

Questa nota elegante viene recepita ed amplificata nella pittura stessa e nel medesimo soggetto floreale scelto.

Il risultato è estremamente dinamico e brioso, un tripudio di sobria solarità calibrata e senza eccessi.

In our 2005 exhibition, ‘Sergio Scatizzi. Old Painted Woods’, works were presented that were part of an eclectic ensemble, particularly in the selection of supports.

Among them, we found scuroli, doors, entire windows, table extensions, etc..

Today we would like to present to you an unprecedented one, but one that is likewise part of this particular series.

The support chosen in this case is the tabernacle of a bedside table from the early 1900s; we can see the decorative mouldings that define its perimeter and the small daisies inserted in circles at the points of intersection, clearly visible even under the pictorial film.

This elegant note is picked up and amplified in the painting itself and in the chosen floral subject.

The result is extremely dynamic and lively, a triumph of sober, calibrated brightness without excess.
