《Dagli occhi delle donne derivo la mia dottrina: essi brillano ancora del vero fuoco di Prometeo, sono i libri, le arti, le accademie, che mostrano, contengono e nutrono il mondo.》

William Shakespeare così si esprimeva in merito all’universo femminile.

L’autore inglese crea un parallelismo con la mitologia greca, l’ardore del fuoco salvifico che Prometeo rubò agli dèi per farne dono agli uomini, questo ha insito in sé le caratteristiche d’importanza di un diverso punto di vista.

Il fuoco delle arti brucia in colei che ne diventa la musa, il veicolo per un vivere migliore e più elevato.

Visione questa di un uomo progressista che già comprese l’importanza delle donne nella loro totalità e complessità, non solo quindi come generatrici.

Lo stesso approccio lo ebbe Scatizzi, il quale essendo cresciuto in una famiglia prevalentemente femminile, nutriva una sorta di reverenza per le donne che amava omaggiare spesso con fiori dipinti.

《From women’s eyes I derive my doctrine: they still shine with the true fire of Prometheus, they are the books, the arts, the academies, which show, contain and nourish the world.》

This is how William Shakespeare expressed himself with regard to the female universe.

The English author creates a parallelism with Greek mythology, the ardour of the saving fire that Prometheus stole from the gods to give to men.

The fire of the arts burns in the one who becomes its muse, the vehicle for better and higher living.

This was the vision of a progressive man who already understood the importance of women in their totality and complexity, not only as generators.

The same approach was taken by Scatizzi, who, having grown up in a predominantly female family, nurtured a kind of reverence for women, whom he often liked to pay homage to with painted flowers.
