Un dipinto che sfrutta le peculiari irregolarità della superficie esaltandole e facendole proprie.

Sergio Scatizzi è stato sempre attratto dai supporti desueti, particolari, con asprezze uniche ed in genere con una storia.

Scatizzi riusciva ad accendere di interesse tali peculiarità e permetteva così che anche gli occhi meno attenti potessero vedere tali bellezze celate da aspetti meno abituali.

Tali peculiarità facevano sorgere in Scatizzi quelle emozioni che poi venivano espresse nei quadri.

È così possibile assaporare atmosfere come questa, in questo caso algida, come se la nebbia stia per avvolgere quegli elementi naturali posti al centro.

Il naturale che sembra vicino ad essere fagocitato, un impassibile attore destinato ad accettare l’ineluttabilità degli eventi.

Il colore si ammassa e sovrappone, come se stia cercando di salvare se stesso dalla perdita di definizione e quindi di quell’identità che fatica ed arranca nella stessa qualificazione di sé.

Sergio Scatizzi was always attracted to unusual, peculiar media with unique ruggedness and generally with a history.

Scatizzi succeeded in igniting such peculiarities with interest and thus allowed even the least attentive eyes to see such beauties concealed by less usual aspects.

Such peculiarities aroused in Scatizzi those emotions that were then expressed in the paintings.

It is thus possible to savour atmospheres like this one, in this case algid, as if fog were about to envelop those natural elements placed in the centre.

The natural that seems close to being engulfed, an impassive actor destined to accept the inevitability of events.

The colour piles up and overlaps, as if it is trying to save itself from the loss of definition and thus of that identity that struggles and struggles in the very qualification of itself.
