Quello che maggiormente trapela da un dipinto come questo, oltre alla leggerezza e alla gioia del gesto stesso, sono proprio le sensazioni che riesce ad evocare.

Possiamo in particolare ammirare quella sensazione di freschezza tipica che sopraggiunge dopo un temporale estivo o la rugiada che bagna i prati appena dopo l’alba.

In entrambe queste situazioni è facilmente osservabile quel flebile imporporarsi, appena accennato, del cielo.

I raggi tiepidi fendono l’umidità per poi successivamente portare allo splendere dell’arcobaleno o semplicemente al delicato pallore confetto dell’alba.

Con questa particolare luce i campi di colza sembrano accendersi di luce propria, regalando uno spettacolo quotidiano ma altrettanto sorprendente.

L’albero sulla sinistra svetta solitario nella radura, riuscendo ad incrementare ulteriormente quel contrasto di gialli e verdi che tanto si esaltano reciprocamente in tutta la scena.

What leaps out most from a painting like this, apart from the lightness and joy of the gesture itself, are precisely the feelings it manages to evoke.

We can particularly admire that typical feeling of freshness that comes after a summer storm or the dew that bathes the meadows just after sunrise.

In both of these situations, one can easily observe that faint, barely noticeable darkening of the sky.

The lukewarm rays cleave through the moisture and then later lead to the shining rainbow or simply the delicate confectionary pallor of dawn.

In this particular light, the rape fields seem to glow with their own light, providing an everyday but equally surprising spectacle.

The tree on the left stands alone in the clearing, further enhancing that contrast of yellows and greens that are so mutually enhancing throughout the scene.
