Un cielo velatamente ceruleo bene si amalgama alle sfumature della grande distesa di sabbia sottostante.
La particolare colorazione del cielo certamente non ci fa pensare alle assolate distese estive, semmai più ad una fresca mattina autunnale, dove i tempi degli schiamazzi hanno lasciato spazio ad una quiete sospesa.
La scura notte ha da poco lasciato il passo al giorno ed a ricordarla c’è solo la bianca luna che si attarda sorniona.
Un dipinto dalla pacata coralità tonale, dove l’unico elemento di demarcazione è la sottile linea dell’orizzonte che passa da un intrigante blu oltremarino fino ad un più morbido blu di Prussia.
La sabbia descritta da queste lunghissime spatolate riesce nel non facile intento della resa tattile di quelle dune compatte ma morbide, fino a raggiungere un estasiante riverbero luminoso dai toni perlacei del rosa, effetto sorprendente quest’ultimo soprattutto perché dato da una spatolata in levare.

A veiled cerulean sky blends well with the hues of the large expanse of sand below.
The peculiar colouring of the sky certainly does not make us think of sunny summer expanses, but rather more of a cool autumn morning, where the times of hustle and bustle have given way to a suspended stillness.
The dark night has recently given way to day, and all that reminds us of it is the white moon lingering slyly.
A painting of calm tonal chorality, where the only demarcating element is the thin line of the horizon that passes from an intriguing ultramarine blue to a softer Prussian blue.
The sand described by these long spatula strokes succeeds in the not easy task of the tactile rendering of those compact but soft dunes, until reaching an enrapturing luminous glow in pearly shades of pink, a surprising effect, especially because it is given by a spatula stroke in levare.
